A huge thank you to P&M for having us. We were very spoiled and just had the best time (even if Ollie mentioned how much better Fiji wasā¦)

Day 1: Flying to Perth
- Very smooth flight – Golden Gaytime ice-cream for the win
- Ollie managed to get 1-2 hours sleep. Sleeping mask was a big hit!

Day 2: Perth Zoo
- Lazy morning and then hit Perth Zoo
- Ollie very excited about reading the map and ticking off the exhibits – so much so, I am not sure what animals he actually sawā¦
- Favourites were the frogs, numbats, tiger and the dinosaurs
- Awesome new playground, complete with giant numbat
- Wanted to see theĀ Gibbons in there new exhibit that goes over the footpath – no gibbons to be seen
- 5pm wine and bubbles (which will become a bit of theme)
- Homemade pizzas with Ollie as chef

Day 3: Pokemon Day
- Started the day at the Farmers markets to get supplies. Ollie was a great helper being in charge of the list and the money
- Free face painting and balloon making – which worked out great because one of the options was pokemon!
- Headed then to the Nostalgia Museum, which has 100 video game consoles on display dating back to the 1970s, with some you could even play
- Ollie was the only one in costume but he loved it. Was there for about 3 hours. Pizza included.Ā
- Ollie loved checking them all out and seeing the old school pokemon games – but Smash Bros Ultimate is still the winner. Shout out to his new friends who even agreed to a round of all Pichakus
- Pizza, pub, dumplings for dinner – “I am the dumpling making master”
- Mario Kart competition, including gracious loss from Ollie

Day 4: Rottnest
- Finally made it to Rottnest Island! It exists and the quokkas are just as cute as expected
- Walked to the Hop on/Hop off bus and ran straight into some quokkas. Was very much a tourist getting photos with them
- Did a lap of the Island across the day and loved every second of it. Made several stops include Little Salmon, Salmon Bay, Cathedral Rocks, and some others⦠Ollie and I even managed a swim in the Indian Ocean which shocked the locals
- Bakery for lunch/refuel before ferry home – there was a whale that slowed us down but didnāt see unfortunately
- Insanity burgers for dinner

Day 5: The Giant’s Story
- Everyone knows Jackās story, but what about the giantās? Saw a fantastic production by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre. Very engaging – kept Ollies (and ours) attention. Following the play, the main character stayed on stage and answered questions from the kids for about 20 mins. Highly recommendĀ
- Sneaky maccas
- Walk around Kings Park to see the 750 year old Boab Tree
- BBQ and Caesar salad for dinner

Day 6: Home
- Lazy morning at home, just packing up the bags to meet baggage limit with a surprise gift
- Off to the airport. Limited tears.
- Very chill flight home with a spare seat next to us
- Home for hugs and already planning the next visit
